In the hearts of many little children lives hope, that someday they will also be like their peers – that they will meet new friends, run and play with them, secretly do some mischief and bring joy to their parents by doing good deeds. However, there are children among us, who can only hope for now. Parents, who fight for their child every day, need to have unconditional love and immeasurable patience. It is emotionally and physically draining. Families of children with special needs have to be supported and feel that such children and their parents are necessary in Latvia. Only we can create a community with a soul where a family and a child with special needs feels necessary, important, worthy of attention and love, and that they belong to society. Families with children with special needs require practical help to ease everyday life.
The album “ Warmhearted”, created by wonderful singers Maija Kovaļevska, Krišjānis Norvelis and pianist Dzintra Erliha, is a gift to the Latvian community and families with children with special needs. Revenue made by selling the album and tickets to a concerts in Australia and Latvia with mediation of the charity organisation Ziedot.lv will go to support children with special needs.
