War is very close by. Just 1000 kilometres away, the Russian army has been killing children and women and destroying homes, hospitals and schools for the fifth year running. Right here in Latvia, it is attempting to carry out acts of sabotage and waging an information war.
Ukraine is currently fighting for us too. Ukrainian soldiers have given us time to prepare and strengthen our own security. That is why we, the people of Latvia, must help both the Ukrainian army, which defends its country and independence every day, and strengthen our own defence capabilities by supporting the National Guard, which will be among the first responders in the event of a direct threat.
Drones and other innovations have become one of the most significant technologies in warfare. They enable us to detect threats in good time, carry out reconnaissance, shoot down enemy drones and protect the lives of both soldiers and civilians.
Let’s provide drones for Ukraine and Latvia! The funds raised will be used to purchase drones to strengthen the defence capabilities of Ukraine and Latvia. Half of the funds raised through this campaign will be allocated to the purchase of drones for Ukrainian army units on the front lines, whilst the other half will be used to purchase drones for the Latvian National Guard.
