Community philanthropy is a donation type targeted at supporting a specific environment or territory. In recognising his or her membership to a specific community or environment – district, city, parish, micro-region or block – the contributor supports its development by his or her donation. Donations can be made to your former school, to install a children’s playground or to plant trees near your residence.
Community philanthropy in an organised and planned manner is implemented by community development organisations.
