What one cannot achieve alone, the nation can achieve together.
That is why the charity organisation Ziedot.lv was born 20 years ago. With one goal - to become a bridge where those who need help and those who want to help meet. With the goal to help Latvia!
Much has been accomplished since then. We have helped children grow up, allowed elderly people to have a dignified old age, fed the hungry, warmed the cold and comforted the unfortunate, invested in education, saved historical heritage, toppled the occupation monument, supported Ukrainians, stood up for the weakest and helped the talented. And we have achieved countless more good deeds, because you, the people of Latvia, have entrusted it to us.
Over 20 years, Ziedot.lv's donors have invested 73 million euros in the welfare of Latvia. These are selfless donations of companies and individuals, which have turned into real and necessary help for the most vulnerable. Latvian society can be proud of its capacity for self-help and solidarity, civic responsibility and empathy. In 2022 alone, Ziedot.lv received donations from 2,119 companies and 144,907 individuals. These are people who act here and now. Because only together we can be strong and prosperous. One for all, all for one.
Not one for one, but one for all and all for one.
We will be delighted to meet our friends and supporters at Ziedot.lv's 20-year garden celebration! The program includes a speech by the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, a gratitude speech by the head of Ziedot.lv Rūta Dimanta, and music and appetisers. It will be a garden celebration where we will look back on what we have achieved, give thanks and spend time in the company of kind and sympathetic people.
