I am happy that I can live in „House of Hope”, because each holidays I can see my little bunny and he also loves „House of Hope”. The main thing is that we can meet and I sincerely hope that we will be able to live together again. „Home of Hope” means a lot to me, here I feel accepted and supported. I can learn a lot here, like to learn sewing and different handcrafts. I am want to change my life very much, so I can raise my little boy on my own.
I am 16 years old and I have a 3 month old daughter. When the girl was born I instantly felt a big love to her, as I have not felt that from side of my mother. I come from orphanage, if I would return there, then my little daughter would be inserted in baby home and we could not be together. Social workers offered to me opportunity to live in „House of Hope” together with my daughter, and I understood that this is the best option. Here I feel security, good attitude, ability to learn a lot, with support of social workers I am taking distance studies to graduate grade 8. I talk with psychologist, visit art and sand therapy. I am happy because, I am accepted for what I am and not compared with anyone else. For all the success I can not give up, the staff gives me great support.
Social support centre "House of Hope" provides two support services.
One of the services is the support and assistance of the ailing mothers with small children. For mothers in post-crisis, underage mothers, girls from orphange, who have become mothers, mothers with low skills and pregnant women who have left without support of their relatives.
Professional support provided for mothers, so they are able to organize their lives. To become independent and be together with their children and take care of them. According to each situation attracted necessary specialists and therapists. Mothers receives training in child care and child raising, as well as life-skills training. Those who have not completed primary or secondary education, receives support and continues learning from distance. Provided also various skills trainings besides. One day for a single mother costs EUR 20.00.
The second service is a respite service for parents who have children with disabilities. Parents whose children with disabilities are older than 18 years need a reliever from daily care of their children because these parents have a job 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. Specialists involved according the necessity, like caregivers, social worker, teacher, nurse, etc. To the young person ensured food, hygiene products, meaningfully spent time and lessons with teacher. To receive the respite service one day for one family costs EUR 40.00.
