"Oto likes music. The radio plays in his room every day, but his favorite tunes bring a smile of delight to his face. His smile surprises me every day, when he gets up in the morning, he will never be angry or dissatisfied, he will always smile,' mother Ilze says about her son.
Oto is a special child, he is currently 22 years old. Children's cerebral palsy, right-sided hemiparesis, low vision and epilepsy prevent the boy from living a full life since early childhood. He needs special care for 24/7. Everyday care has been taken over by Oto's mother. When Oto's grandmother was alive, she helped a lot and then Oto's mother could at least partially work and devote time to the needs of Oto's younger brother. But at the moment, taking care of Oto rests only on the shoulders of his mother, Ilze. Therefore, for many years, thanks to the donations, the family has had a nanny who looks after and takes care of Oto in his mother's absence.
Oto's mother is asking for our help so that the family can once again. 640 euros, including taxes of a self-employed person, is the fee for 64 working hours per month, performed by a nanny who has undergone special training in the care of seriously ill people as part of the "Dear Nanny" project, which is implemented by Ziedot.lv and the Association of Invalids and their Friends "Apeirons". 7680 euros are needed throughout the year.
