The project provides the abilty to give veterinary help and care for animals in the shelter and the social veterinary clinic “Animal Friend”. Thanks to the donations, an average of 50 animals can be housed in the shelter every month, 30 animals find new owners every month, 20 animals recieve veterinary care, and an average of 50 stray and feral cats are neutered and vaccinated per month.
With the help of these donations it will be possible to:
- Purchase food for different groups of animals, including medicinal foods for animals with specific diets;
- Purchase cleaning supllies and disinfectants for the cleaning of the shelter and clinic premises.
- Providing veterinary services in cases of cruelty, injuries and special care for animals with special needs.
- Providing of the “Trap – Neuter – Release” stray and feral cat neutering program.
- Providing the day-to-day care of the animals in the shelter.
- Organizing activites for volunteers, especially for children and young people. These activites, such as study excursions and charity events for schools, will serve the purpose of educating the volunteers on animal welfare and protection.
- Organizing a ceremony at the end of year 2019 to motivate the volunteers and acknowledge their great help and effort.
The donations will be used to purchase food and household goods for the use of the shelter and the clinic, as well as to cover the costs of the veterinary services.
