Rostislav till the age of 1.5 years was growing as a normal child at his age. He was always positive and always smiling, and age of nine months he started to say his first words. When he reached 2 years parents noticed huge differences in his development. Boy’s speech didn’t improved any more, he wasn’t interested in his peers, he wasn’t reacting to his name, wasn’t playing with toys, wasn’t drawing or even watching any cartoons.
At three years of age he was diagnosed with atypical autism and speech development delay. At the time Rostislav expressed his wishes with just one word. The family attended the speech therapists, psychologists, ABA therapy sessions and reittherapy, ergotherapy. Once a quarter received a rehabilitation in clinic in Ukraine.All of that gave great results. Rostislav started to develop really fast.
Right now Rostislav is 6 years old. He knows the alphabet, reads the words from 3-4 letters, he can count till 100, and he knows how to write letters. He loves to draw, play with toys and ride a bike. Boy talks, makes sentences of 3-4 words and asks usual questions.
The family has spend all savings and they can’t pay for all treatments by them self anymore. It is very important to Rostislav to carry on with treatments to make boys development continue. Next year Rostislav has to start school. This is the time to give everything what we can to Rostislav’s development to prepare boy for school. Rostislav still has behavioral problems, communication problems with other kids and his speech is not approprite to his age.
We can treet these problems very easily with regular ABA therapy lessons. This therapy provides ABA therapy center- the only training center in Latvia for children with autism and other development disabilities which specializes in the use of ABA methods- effective and scientifically proven training and method of behavior correction.
Rostislav’s parents are asking for donnor support, to provide their son with ABA therapy lessons for a whole year. Visiting 12 lessons a month, the cost is 220 euros. For the whole year there are together needed 2640 euros.
