- a convenient donating process;

Is it safe to donate using Ziedot.lv?
Using Ziedot.lv for donations is safe and reliable.
Before any charity project is published on the Internet, the Ziedot.lv expert commission carefully analyses the project according to organisation and project criteria. Implementation of the donations is regularly monitored.
Reports about donation implementation can be received by e-mail.
How are contributor’s data protected?
Ziedot.lv user data are protected and are not used for purposes other than for Ziedot.lv needs – for sending reports to the contributor, for informing on project progress and for offering new services.
The contributor may remain anonymous to the general public if he indicates the wish to do so when making a donation.
Submitting claims
If the contributor is not satisfied with the report received or the quality of the donation implementation, a claim can be submitted, which is then considered by the Ziedot.lv expert commission.
Can an individual submit a request for a donation?
An individual can submit a request for donation, if it is necessary for a child’s (up to 18 years) health.
- Ziedot.lv accepts applications for donations to save children’s lives and to provide for their health care if the application corresponds to the following criteria:
- the donation is necessary for solving the health problems of a child (up to 18 years);
- the necessary surgery, treatment or rehabilitation is not included in the state refund services list;
- the concrete diagnosis and the necessity for the surgery, treatment or rehabilitation are approved by a corresponding physician’s notice;
- the child’s parents are able to present a notice about the planned expenses of the surgery, treatment or rehabilitation, as well as the location where the treatment will be carried out. The presented treatment sum corresponds to the amount requested for donations;
- the family confirms that it does not possess the necessary funding for the child’s treatment (Ziedot.lv checks this information at the corresponding municipality);
- the donations for the specific surgery or rehabilitation are not already being (and also won’t be) collected with the help of other charity organisations;
- Ziedot.lv does not pay the donated sum to the individual, but covers the corresponding payment for the surgery, treatment or rehabilitation;
- the individual undertakes to inform Ziedot.lv about the results of the corresponding surgery, treatment or rehabilitation.
To publish a support project in Ziedot.lv for an individual, the child’s legal representative must submit an application and all the required medical certificates. You can find the application form for requesting donations for an individual here.

Can private persons apply to receive donations?
Are all applications published in Ziedot.lv?

Are Ziedot.lv services free of charge?
Thanks to the support of Swedbank and other partners, donating and receiving in the charity portal is free of charge. Contributors and recipients cover only the transfer commission applied by their corresponding banks.
How do organisations receive the donations?
Organisations sign an agreement with Ziedot.lv on publishing the project in the portal. Contributors donate to the Ziedot.lv account for a specific project. At the beginning of each month, the donated sum of money from the Ziedot.lv account is transferred to the bank account of the corresponding project organisation. If donations in the previous month were less than 50 lats, the money is transferred quarterly. Money is not transferred in cases where the organisation has not submitted reports on the previous period or if the reports have been incorrect.
